Any helpdesk manager would most probably include Outlook among the so-called “First Call Generators”. With this expression we refer to software’s, services or products that more often lead corporate users to call the helpdesk, either because are widely used or because don’t work as expected.
Outlook is the most known and used software for mail handling, companies are always using it and users are very often contacting the helpdesk when any Outlook issue rises up.
When the user tries to open the Outlook client, the application tries to run but then immediately closes or crashes down.
Outlook desktop installation is probably corrupted.
1. Launch Outlook 2013 in safe mode. ( Start >> on the Search Box type “Outlook.exe /Safe” >> enter)
The Outlook.exe /Safe switch command will start Outlook without many of the customization files and add-ins loaded by default each time outlook starts.
If the problem doesn’t re-occur when in Safe mode, the issue might be connected to one of Outlook’s add-ins or customization files.
2. Repair Microsoft Office O365
Click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
Select the Office Pack you want to repair, and then click Change.
Click either Quick Repair or Online Repair.
3. Repair your Outlook 2013 profile.
On Outlook 2013, click File.
Click the down-arrow next to Account Settings, and then Account Settings.
On the Email tab, select your account (profile), and then click Repair.
Follow the prompts in the wizard, and when you’re done, restart Outlook.
